Entrance to Germany from third countries (Included Albania)

Federal government has decided to limit the entrance from Montenegro, so to be allowed only people with important reasons to travel, effective since July 17, 2020, 00:00, recommended by European Union’s Council.

Every two weeks, Europe updates the list of third countries, based on the low rate of infections, that the entrance not to be limited.

Below will be listed entrance policies and the list of third countries, which applies on July 17, 2020, 00:00:

1. The entrance from third countries with a low rate number of infections is possible the entrance without any restrictions. Based on current data, Germany allows without any restrictions these countries:
   1. Australia
   2. Georgia
   3. Canada
   4. New Zealand
   5. Thailand
   6. Tunisia
   7. Uruguay
2. Upcoming exceptions will be applied. People, in upcoming days will be able to enter Germany if they have important reasons to travel:
   1. German citizens, European citizens and citizens of third countries which are resident in Germany
   2. health workers, health researchers, gifted foreign workers and qualified if their doing is needed for an economic perspective and that their work cannot be postponed or to be done outside the country
   3. transport of goods and other personnel
   4. seasonal workers in agriculture
   5. seamen
   6. people who immigrate to Germany to reunite with their family members and for other urgent family reasons
   7. people who seek international protection or protection from other humanitarian reasons
   8. diplomats, international organisation staff, military personnel and humanitarian aid workers on their duty
   9. The the displaced ethnic Germans
   10. passengers in transit

3. The country of departure is decisive based on who is able to enter Germany, not on the nationality of the person who enters.

Regardless of the possibility of the entrance to the country, Germany still requires the quarantine for all federal citizens to protect against infections, for them who return or enter Germany from countries that according to Robert Koch Institute are red areas.

Quarantine is required for all travelers (except those in transit) which have important reasons to travel.
