Marmara Deluxe Hotel has a very special location, in the middle of the historical peninsula (half-island) that makes the cultures & religions meet, where the Asia and Europe greet each other and also a location that available to go by foot to the most important places that visitors of Istanbul have to visit firstly.

Just 300 metres to the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace, Barok Hotel Istanbul is in the middle of the historical Sultanahmet area. It offers free WiFi and air-conditioned rooms with a satellite TV and minibar. All rooms at Barok Hotel Istanbul come with elegant furnishings. They all feature tea/coffee making facilities. A safe is standard. Daily breakfast is served in buffet style. It includes a variety of cheese, fruits and pastries. There are also many restaurants and eateries that serve local and international cuisine in the area. Nearest supermarket is a 1-minute walk away. The front desk is available 24/7. Airport shuttle service can be provided at a surcharge. Room service is also available. Sirkeci Tram Stop is 200 metres away, allowing easy access to many sites of the city including Taksim Square. Marmaray Undersea Railway Station is a 5 minutes’ walking distance. Grand Bazaar is 900 metres, Galata Tower is 1.8 km from the hotel. Ataturk Airport is 19 km away.

First visit to Marmara Deluxe Hotel was on Nov 10, 2020. We used a minivan transfer from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport to the hotel. Location was easy to find. You could go on foot to the most attractive places, Grand Bazaar and most historical places.

The staff were nice and helpful. The room was clean. Looking luxury from inside but mostly was facade. Breakfast was simple, but good. As most hotels do, they let us to leave our baggage there until the check-in time.

The environment was quiet, even outside but during the night we could tell that the walls were thin.
