Travel From Albania To Austria – Covid-19

Because of the deterioration of covid-19 situation in Austria, some changes have been done for entry to Austria according to validity of Certificate of Vaccine, Covid-19 tests and antibody tests.

Starting from November 22, only fully vaccinated people, or who have a medical proof which shows that have been cured of Covid-19 lately or within 180 days, will be allowed to travel from Albania to Austria without the need of quarantine.
Children up to 12 years old, accompanied with immune parents (vaccinated or cured) are exempted of the Covid test too.

  • Changes:
  • Validity of vaccine certificate will shorten from 360 days to 270 days.
  • Antibody test and antigen test of covid-19, will not be valid as proof for entry.
  • Starting from November 22, unvaccinated travelers can enter to Austria, but they first have to register to Pre Travel Clearance Form https://entry.ptc.gv.at/, need to show a negative covid-19 test and it is mandatory to quarantine for 10 days on the chosen hotel or their home. Quarantine time can be reduced on the 5th day of they take a test and get a negative result.
  • Only PCR test(of validity 72 hours) are valid/acceptable.
  • Starting from November 19, 2021, people who will travel to Austria and will stay in hotel, or going to bars and restaurants, cinema, theater, opera, museum, or any other activity of more then 25 people, except for vaccination certificate or recovery, they should show a PCR test result.
